University Transfer Center Engages in UNC System Transfer Convening

On March 3–4,2026, the University Transfer Center team attended the UNC System Transfer Convening in Wilmington, NC, joining colleagues from across the system who are dedicated to supporting transfer student success. Over two days, the team connected with peers, shared practices, and explored new strategies to strengthen transfer pathways.

The University Transfer Center highlighted its pre-transfer advising model and the new 15-credit reduced general education block for students earning an AAS degree from a North Carolina community college, both of which were met with enthusiasm. The convening also provided valuable opportunities to learn from others, and the team returned with new ideas to continue enhancing support for transfer students at UNC Charlotte.
